WHAT TO EXPECT IN A ONE ON ONE SESSION

How to Prepare for our Session Together

Breathwork is a sacred time of connecting with yourself, it’s important to come fully prepared so you can get the most out of our time together.

  • It’s ideal to avoid eating or drinking 2 hours prior to session.

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing – I also recommend having something to cover your eyes with, this is always a game changer for me!

  • Have a blanket nearby- you may get chilly

  • Ensure you have a quiet, private space where you won’t be interrupted.

  • Online sessions will be held over Zoom. Having a stable internet connection and your camera on is important for proper facilitation.

  • Invitation to bring anything else that will have you feeling supported – journal and pen, crystals, essential oils, candles etc.

  • & last but not least, an open mind and a willingness to explore your inner world.

 

  • The short answer is No.

    It is the same in the sense that we are consciously shifting our breath for a desired result. Although instead of short bursts of breathing for a sense of calm, energy etc that you do in yoga class, the breathwork I guide is in a longer container, atleast 60min. We use the combination of specific conscious connected breath patterns for the duration of the experience with the intention of healing and transformation. This breathwork is designed to excavate stored emotions and experiences for deep healing and liberation on the other side.

  • Breathwork is not recommended for pregnant women. The practice can create intense emotionality within the system, which may create emotional disruption for the baby. Breathwork is highly recommended prenatal to allow for the release of past trauma and to create a healthy energetic environment for the baby, as well as postnatal. Breathwork is safe to use when breastfeeding.

  • Yes, but start extremely slow. If ever you feel like there is too much, back off of the intensity and come back to your natural breath. During our sessions together, you are always in full control and you get to take the breath as far as feels good and safe for you.

  • Nope it’s not! Breathwork is simply a holistic healing modality that doesn’t require any sort of religious beliefs to participate in. Everyone is welcome!

  • I will always encourage you to lean into your emotions as much as feels comfortable for you, as you are always in control during sessions. It is also important to note, your body will NEVER give you anything you cannot handle! When we can lean into the feeling arising and allow ourselves to fully feel, the emotion will pass through us in 90 seconds then it’s gone! It’s the avoidance of feeling that keeps us in the looping fear of it. ‘I am safe’ is a great mantra to repeat to yourself in moments like these. You’ve got this!
